(Specialised for childcare, early learning, OSHC and schools)

All HLTAID011 First Aid and CPR content
First Aid for infants, toddlers and children
Asthma and anaphylaxis management, including action plans
Common childhood injuries: falls, bumps, nosebleeds, fevers, minor wounds
Responding to incidents in classrooms, centres and playgrounds
Meeting First Aid requirements under education and care regulations

1. Which First Aid courses do you offer?

1. Which First Aid course is right for me?

Choose HLTAID009 if you only need CPR.
Choose HLTAID011 for standard workplace First Aid.
Choose HLTAID012 if you work in childcare, schools or education and care settings.

2. How long are the courses?

Times can vary, but generally:
- HLTAID009 CPR: around 2–3 hours
- HLTAID011 / HLTAID012: typically half-day to full day
  (You can adjust this on the website to match your exact schedule.)

3. Do I need to be physically fit?

You must be able to perform 2 minutes of continuous CPR on a manikin placed on the floor to be assessed as competent. If you’re unsure, contact us before booking.

4. How long is my First Aid valid?

Industry recommends:

CPR (HLTAID009): renew every 12 months
First Aid (HLTAID011 & HLTAID012): renew every 3 years

5. What are the physical requirements for the course?

To be assessed as competent, you must be able to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor. If you have an injury or condition that may affect this, please contact us before booking.

6. What should I bring to the course?

Please bring:

Valid photo ID (e.g. driver licence or passport)
Your USI (Unique Student Identifier)
A pen and any pre-course workbook if required
Comfortable clothing suitable for kneeling on the floor.

7. Is the course nationally recognised?

Yes. Our First Aid units are nationally recognised qualifications, accepted by workplaces and industries across Australia when issued in line with current standards.

8. How is the course assessed?

Assessment includes:

Practical demonstrations (CPR, bandaging, placing a casualty in recovery position, etc.)
Short written or verbal questions to check your understanding of key concepts.

9. When will I receive my certificate?

After you successfully complete all assessments and provide the required ID, we process your Statement of Attainment within our normal timeframe (e.g. 1–3 business days – adjust to suit your process).

10. Do you offer group or onsite First Aid training for workplaces?

Yes. We can deliver First Aid and CPR training at your workplace or for private groups. Contact us with your preferred dates, numbers and location and we’ll provide a tailored quote and session plan.
